Chef Lippe's Wiener Schnitzel - Austrian-style breaded beef cutlets
Originated in the city of Vienna, Austria this traditional dish consists of a cut of beef breaded and lightly fried. Many versions exist. I make the version from the Hapsburgs recipe using only bread crumbs and egg, with no flour in the mix. Four Schnitzels per order. Serves 1 to 2 guests. Made to order, never frozen. Accompany with a traditional German potato salad, Sauerkraut, or French fries.
