Recipe: Baked Brie with caramelized onions and bacon.

Baked Brie is a classic. It is served with toast or bread. It is usually topped with jellies, fruits and nuts or a combination of these. I made this one with caramelized onions left over from an apple onion hot pepper chutney. Then as everyone knows, bacon makes everything better, so I sprinkled it with bacon pieces. Here is my recipe.

A Recipe and History of Buffalo Wings

A Recipe and History of Buffalo Wings

The story of the birth of buffalo wings is like many, a matter of fate. It goes that on a snowy late Friday night in 1964, after the kitchen closed and all the cooks had gone home at The Anchor Bar, in Buffalo, New York, a group of clients walked in from the cold, and requested something to eat.

The Origins of Chili Peppers

Chili plants were cultivated by the people of the Americas as far as six thousand years ago. The evidence points to the use of chili not only as food and medicine, but as currency as well. In fact, as late as early twentieth century, you could use “rantii” or chili ristras as bartering tools around Cuzco, Peru. We also have evidence that the Inca considered Chili as a deity and integrated it in religious ceremonies. Aya Uchu or “brother pepper” was one of the four deities of creation.
